Early Career Faculty
Fostering Growth
In an effort to foster the growth of new and emerging scientists, the Stein Institute provides integral start-up funds to new faculty from the University of California, San Diego to assist in the development of their research and careers. Each year, the Stein Institute selects and provides between $10,000 and $20,000 to individual faculty investigators working on projects related to successful aging. The research projects are in diverse, but related areas of aging such as imaging, genetics, neurocognition, cultural anthropology, and genomics.
